A Surefire Horse Racing System For Beginner’s Luck and Betting on the Races

Anyone who gambles or places bets on horse races eventually learns about beginner’s luck. Beginner’s luck (BL) is the phenomena of beating the odds whenever you bet on a new game or go to the horse track for the first time. It is usually balanced off by that other natural law of gambling known as, “what goes round comes round.” That is usually experienced the second time you go to the track and bet extravagantly because it seemed so easy to win the first time. The result is that usually you lose all your winnings from the first trip with a little more thrown in, just to keep the pot full for the next beginner, and so it goes.

So how can anyone use BL to beat the odds consistently? It seems that it is impossible to keep being a beginner at the race track, or anything else in life. But a friend of mine actually did find a way to beat the system, for a while anyway, and developed what he called the Beginner’s Luck Horse Racing System.

The key to my friend’s method was that he had to have someone who had never been to the races with him whenever he used the system. He wasn’t much of a planner and didn’t like the cerebral strain of handicapping the races. Being a free spirit, he was more inclined to decide to go to the race track at the last minute. The problem with this method, of course, is where do you find someone who is willing to drop everything and go with you at a moment’s notice?

His remedy for the situation was to drive to the part of town where ladies could be found on the street corners. These ladies were in the entertainment business, so to speak, and would readily accompany him, if the price was right and paid up front. While his first question to them was a bit out of the ordinary, he was able to find willing participants who had never been to the race track before.

He would take the lady to the track and show her a very good time and of course, he would bet on anything she picked and would often have a very good day. Other than running out of a supply of lady “entertainers” who had never been to the race track, it seemed there wasn’t a flaw in his plan until he proposed a trip to the track to the wrong lady. While she appeared to be a lady entertainer, she was actually a lady police officer in disguise. He was arrested for propositioning, though the charges were later dropped when it was determined that asking someone if they would like to go to the race track is not a crime, even if you offer to pay him or her to accompany you.

While it may appear that the Beginner’s Luck System had finally failed, it was revealed that this was actually the lady police officer’s first day working undercover. In other words, her first arrest was just, you guessed it, BL.

The Best Bet in Horse Racing Handicapping For Beginners and Novice Horse Players

Other than getting a good tip on a horse from someone in the know, there are some bets that traditionally offer a better chance of winning and making money betting on the horse races, especially if you are a beginner or have limited experience handicapping horse races. Upon entering any race track the horse player is presented with a multitude of opportunities for wagering on almost any race. There are the traditional flat bets like win, place, and show. Then there are exotic bets such as the daily double, exacta, quinella, trifecta, superfecta, pick three, pick four, pick six, place pick nine, and others.

It is nice to have so many choices but that can be a trap for the beginner. Seeing a large payoff on an exotic bet, such as the superfecta in the Kentucky Derby that paid over half a million dollars, can encourage a bettor to wager on the exotic wagers and to forsake the less exciting flat bets.

But there are several pitfalls inherent in the exotics, especially if you have limited knowledge of betting and making money from your bets. if you are just gambling for fun, then by all means, swing for the fences, as they say, and go for the big exotic, but just realize that hitting the truly big payoff is almost as difficult as hitting the lottery. But if you would like the nice warm feeling of leaving the race track with more money than you entered with, the flat bets are a much better deal.

One of the reasons that flat bets are good bets is that you can tell what you are getting and what the bet pays. That means you can make a fair judgment as to the actual value of the bet. Even a person with rudimentary horseplaying skills will sometimes see the odds and think to him or herself, “That horse would be bet down more than that, that’s a good deal!”

When that occurs, it is a golden opportunity to make a profit. Put enough of those situations together and you will be a winning horseplayer, no matter how much experience you’ve had. Another reason that the exotics aren’t as good as the flat bets, is that the takeout, or “vig,” as it is sometimes called, is higher on the exotics in most situations. That means that the track takes more money out of the pool before the winners of the bet are paid, so you are paying more for the privilege of making the bet. Over time a higher vig, even just a few percentage points higher, can really add up and eat into your winnings.

If you find the flat bets too boring and really feel you must play the exotics, I advise you to find a horse that seems to be going off at good odds, compared to its form, and wheel it in one of the exotic pools. if it truly is an overlay, the exotics may pay well and you will not lose because you failed to figure out which horses to use to complete the bet. So the win bet is by far the best bet for a beginner or novice, followed by the wheel bet in the exotics.

Beginners Guide to Australian Greyhound Racing

Greyhound racing is popular not only in Australia but also in other countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Ireland and New Zealand. These are actually the five main large-scale greyhound-racing countries in the world. Some of the small-scale greyhound racers on the other hand are Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and a whole lot more.

In this sport, the greyhounds race by chasing an artificial hare or rabbit, also known as the lure, around a track until they reach the finish line. Whichever crosses the finish line first is of course the winner of the race. This type of racing has extensively become part of the gambling business, which is why the sport has such a stronghold in the aforementioned countries despite expressed concerns of people regarding the health and well being of the dogs.

The history of this racing can be traced back in the 1870s when an experimental greyhound racing was conducted on a straight track at Hendon, beside the Welsh Harp reservoir. The sport didn’t develop though until year 1912 when Owen Patrick Smith introduced the use of oval tracks for the race and an artificial hare as a lure to campaign for a halt in the killing of jackrabbits. Greyhound race betting then started in the 1920s when the certificates system was developed.

In Australia, the Australian Greyhound Racing Association or AGRA is the governing body that regulates greyhound welfare and living conditions. The said association is further divided into various state governing bodies to help facilitate greyhound welfare regulation. One of their responsibilities is to check the greyhounds for parasites, malnourishment or any medical condition, or basically just an overall examination that will assure that the dogs are healthy and in good condition before they actually compete.

The sport is extremely popular to male working-class audiences, especially when it comes to the art of betting. If you are new to the world of betting for this sport, you should first do your homework of researching for reliable greyhound racing tips before you finally place your bet. Greyhound racing tips actually emphasize that race betting is not really a game of chance but a game of analysis and careful scrutiny.

One of the top greyhound racing tips you’d most likely find helpful is to study the dogs. This is important when placing a bet. You don’t just place your bet on any dog without considering its qualities and racing capabilities. Although you can’t know all the dogs too well right away, it would help if you try to find out first the greyhound’s age and track record. In the event that you do win, it is a sound decision to not immediately replay your winnings. Although winning a bet gives you that incredible feeling and assumption that luck is on your side, getting too carried away might just reverse the table. Keeping your winnings with you after a bet instead of betting again immediately will decrease the chances of eventually losing all your winnings.
